Weekly Race Update
The team had great results at the national ISOC season opener in Duluth, MN. Multi-time regional snocross champion Danny Poirier added another victory to his impressive resume, winning the Plus 30 Pro Am final. “We came out to Minnesota early to test, and it really paid off,” Poirier said on the podium. “This new Ski-doo is running great, it handles well and has plenty of power. I’m excited to be a part of the Ingles team this season, and am proud to have kicked things off on such a good note. I feel strong and am anxious to get our new season rolling with East Coast Snocross in a couple of weeks.” Poirier was also aboard the only Ski-doo to qualify on the front row in the Pro Open final, and even earned a spot in Friday night’s high-stakes AMSOIL Dominator.
Leo Patenaude and Kevin Wallenstein also put in stellar efforts for the Ingles Performance group in Duluth. Patenaude, 18, of Hartland, Vermont, won his qualifying heat and fought hard throughout Saturday’s Sport Final, coming away with a solid third place finish. Wallenstein, now competing in Pro Lite on the national tour, finished third in Sunday’s final behind Andrew Carlson and 2013 ECS champion Corin Todd. It was a fantastic start to the season for the athlete from Cadillac, Michigan. “This is the way we wanted to start things off,” Wallenstein said. “Ski-doo has a great new sled for 2014, and we’ve worked hard during preseason testing to get it dialed in. This track is tough, it wears you out and really forces you to choose the right lines every lap. I’m proud to land on
the podium for everybody at Ingles Performance and all of our great sponsors. I’m anxious and ready for Round 2.”
